MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Sidelines Sports Eatery pitcher Bob Collins faces Pill & Pill hitters in a 15-14 win at the Myrtle Beach Sports Complex. Coach Jay Schramm assembled a diversified group of '65-plus area players that included Gary Meyer, Gary Beale and former SSS players Neal Klopping and Mark Vonderembse. The Invitational Tournament was held March 12-15, 2020.

Sidelines Sports Eateries sponsored the traveling team who played with only eleven players, due to injuries.

Schramm traveled South with a diversified '65-plus tournament team that included Gary Meyer, Gary Beale and Bob Collins. The ISSI event was held March 12-15 at the Myrtle Beach Astro-turf complex. The team was sponsored by Jerry Edmonson's Sidelines Sports Eatery.

  Sidelines wins I.S.S.A. AAA with 5-0 record!

I.S.S.A. TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS! The '65 Sidelines Sport Eatery team won the I.S.S.A. Northern AAA Division Tournament, Sept. 18-20, at Cincinnati, Ohio, with a 5-0 record. Sidelines wins the I.S.S.A. '65 Championship!

Sylvania Sidelines 65 AAA went 5-0 in Cincinnati to win their age group in the ISSA Northern USA Championships tournament played September 18, 19 and 20. We over came our year long nemesis Dayton Legends 65AAA team during the course of the tourney to add to the win. Our team had great team batting average of .717. Leading this great accomplishment were Paul Wesolowski 10/10 (1.000 BA) two doubles and 5BB, Scott Libbe 10/12 (.833 BA) three doubles, Bob Collins 8/10 (.800 BA) five doubles and two triples, Rick Stager 9/12 (.750 BA) four BB, two doubles a triple and a HR, Rick Hendee 8/11 (.727BA) three doubles and four BB, John Johnson 12/17 (.706 BA) three doubles, three HRs and two BB. Our All Tournament Players were Paul Wesolowski, John Johnson and Larry Smith. Rick Stager was the tourney MVP. This was a great weekend with contributions from every team member, great camaraderie and a few fun meals with friends.

Sidelines' Runner-up at Great Lakes!

The Sidelines 65 Tournament team played in the SPA Great Lakes tournament July 30 & 31. After going 1-1 in pool play Sidelines won the loser's bracket to face Dayton Legends AAA in the finals again. The Dayton team left no doubt, mercying Sidelines 22 to 5 . Offensive leaders were Rich Knapp 16/19 .842 52bs, Dave Ashman 9/12 .750, Gary Beale 15/21 .714 2OTFHR’s, Larry Smith 11/16 .687 and hit for cycle in loser finals, and John Johnson (Pacesetter) 13/19 .684 and led the team with 25 total bases.

First Flight of Ohio Tournament!

The Sidelines 65 Tournament team played in a 4th of July SPA tournament in Union, Ohio. After going 1-1 in pool play Sidelines won the winners bracket but was double dipped in the finals by a very good Dayton Legends AAA team. Offensive leaders were Jay Schramm 12/15 .800, Jeff Huskinson 11/15 .733 and Tom Duhart pitched in 3 OTFHR’s.
