Honorary Award from Dave Sigler, left, and Rossford High Coach Brian Voist for promoting boys high school basketball on his website, Davey1.com. The 2013 presentation was held at Saunders Village, Archbold. Ohio. Mr. Spengler helped create the Sylvania Senior Softball website in 2009.

PLAY BALL! On April 4, SSS Treasurer John Yocom, left, and President Gary Meyer, presented a check to Jake Hensel, Sylvania Parks Program Director for the 2013 Senior League entry fee. This year seven teams will compete on Tuesdays and twelve on Thursdays. The SSS League was established in 2008 and is celebrating its 6th season.

WORLD CHAMPS! SSS member Ric stager, who resides in Florida during the winter, joined Dennis Telmanik to play in the Feb. 2013 ISSA/ISF World Softball Tournament in Tampa, FL., with CH Engineering, Raleigh, SC. The team won the tournament in the bottom of the 8th 35-34. Dennis played on the Allshred Services team that won the Legends League in 2011.

PIZZA NIGHT at Andy & Barney's Sport Bar is a regular stop for the Tuesday night Master's league players. Amanda and Lulu are the hosts welcoming everyone to the eatery. A&B's is once again sponsoring a team.

BLARNEY, IRELAND - Jim Dunlavy and Dennis Telmanik, accompanied by their wives, vacationed in Ireland in September 2012. The Telmanik Travel trip included stops in Spain, France and Italy.
