In the final game of the season and a chance to go from worst to first. Sidelines White faced off with a solid Fricker's Black team. Sidelines White continued stinging the ball getting 10 runs in the first 3 innings. Black coming off a tough 8 inning loss earlier couldn’t keep pace and Sidelines finished off a very challenging season with a win 19-7 and the Championship!!!! Ed Reed came through with a big 4-4 and a HR. Aaron Young was 3-4 with a HR, Mike Miller 3-4 pitched a great game. Dave Durfey and Dave Pacholski notched a couple hits for the cause Bob (808)Ruckman had a big double ( should have been a triple) and subs Kevin Koepfer 3-3 and Bruce Klostemeier 2-4 played great.

Tournament Champs! Sidelines White defeats Bull Moose 18-6

In the Championship game Sidelines White faced off with a good ( you knew they’d be there in the end) Bull Moose squad. The teams changed blows in the first inning with both teams getting their 5. Defense was the key to this game with Sideline’s Right side of the infield (Bob Ruckman, Rob Boehme and Shawn Dresh) putting together their best game of the year. Shutting the door on Bull Moose. A couple more 5 run innings by Sidelines was enough to close out the Championship and Complete a worst to first. 12 win in a row run, League and tournament sweep! Ed Reed and Aaron Young led the charge going 3/4 with HR’s. Dave Pacholski was perfect at the plate going 3/3. Mike Miller 3/4, Shawn Dresh 3/4, Dave Durfey 3/4, and Larry Wilczynski 3/4 kept the hit train Rollin’. It was a Fun and very eventful season and Sidelines White would like to thank the players, directors and Sidelines for Sponsoring and being apart of the league. It’s more than just competition. It’s comradery and old and new friendships coming together to play a game we love!

BULLMOOSE'S R/C fielder, Bruce Klostermeier, pounds out another hit and beats the throw to first. Bullmoose lost to Fricker's Black, 7/28/22, 19-10. Bruce was 2/4. He has been best friends with his team-mate Doug Meek since grade school. How cool is that?

Harris & Zubkoff homeruns spark offensive muscle! !

State Farm played a great game and knocked off the outstanding Ott squad to win the 2022 Masters League Tournament Championship. Our 3 wily veterand came up big in this one as Roy Woodworth hammered a bases loaded double and added 2 other hits and 4 RBI, Charlie Oberlin was perfect at the plate in both games and hurler Bill Wiseman shut down the high powered Ott offense and recorded 3 K's. On the glove side, Charlie Stoner speared a hot shot on his backhand side, flipped to Bob Zubkoff who quickly gunned it to Rob Boehme for a beautiful DP. Also, Wayne Harris grabbed a line drive and fired a strike to Dave Durfey at the plate for another DP. Zubkoff, who put together a fantastic season, and Harris launched OTF bombs to pace the offense. Offensive leaders: Bob Zubkoff ( 4-4 OTF HR 3 RBI) Season - .822 11 HR 54 RBI, Dave Luce ( 3-3 3R 3 2B 3 RBI) - .621 1 HR 41 RBI, Charlie Oberlin ( 4-4 2R RBI) - .733 25 RBI, Rob Boehme ( 3-4 2R 2B 2 RBI), - .556 25 RBI, Bill Wiseman ( 3-4 2R RBI) - Invaluable pitching performance all year, Roy Woodworth ( 3-4 2R 2B 4 RBI) - Played fantasiic at 3rd and had countless key hits, Charlie Stoner ( 3-4 3R 2 RBI) - .697 41R 31 RBI, Dave Durfey ( 2-4 2R 3 RBI) - .646 1 HR 28 RBI, Wayne Harris ( 2-4 2R OTF HR RBI) - .603 5 HR 32 RBI, Ed Calderon ( 2-5 2R 2 RBI) - .687 36 R, Chris McGowan ( key hit and great defense) - .714 26 RBI, and Gary Downey ( 3-3 BB 2R). This team finished at 15-4 overall, had a .611 team BA and averaged 17 runs a game. I would like to thank my teammates for their dedication and great play all season... we only used one sub all year ( Jim Elchert 4-4 3 2B).
