Bull Moose defeats Fricker's 23-8 to win Legends Tournament!

2019 LEGENDS TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS! BULL MOOSE defeated Fricker's Red 10-3 in the quarter-finals and State Farm 27-12 in the semi-finals to advance to the Legends League finals, defeating league champions Fricker's Maroon 23-8. Pitcher Joe Pastorek delivers striking performance!

In the Legends Tournament championship game, Bull Moose won 23-8 over regular season champ Fricker's Maroon. Joe Pastorek pitched another great game with good defense highlighted by Mark Clair's steady play at shortstop, Tom Duhart with two catches with his back against the outfield fence and Norm Cairl with a rally killing grab of hot line drive to end the 5th inning. Swinging heavy metal: Joe Pastorek (4-4); Doug Meek (3-4, HR); Dave Obert (2-2, 2 BB); Norm Cairl added a home run; Dave Kuntz, Mike Sanders, Woody Woodrow all went (3-4); Mark Clair, Bob Allgier, Matt Edinger, John Nicolai had 2 hits each. Everyone had at least one hit,for a team average .630. Team leaders: out three weeks with a busted thumb, Doug Meek came back with a vengeance, hitting .800, 32/40 with 6HR. "King of Swat" Tom Duhart hit .789 with 14HR. Shortstop Mark Clair hit .650. A great team effort in a dominating win to finish the season on a high note.

Fricker's Maroon out hit in tournament loss!

The tone was set early, as things started badly for Maroon right from the beginning, and never got better. Congratulations to Bull Moose on a well deserved Tournament Championship. Even though this one got away from us, it doesn't take away from the outstanding season that the Maroon men put together. Hitting leaders: Wayne Harris ( OTF HR 3 RBI). George Hilfinger ( 2-3 2R 2RBI), Jim Elchert ( 2-3 R RBI), Todd Hofer (2-3 3B RBI), Steve Glass (2-3 RBI), Mark Gedert (2-3 2R), and Gary Downey (2-3 R).

Guardian Angels go 3-0 to win tournament!

In the Masters Tournament championship game, the Guardian Angels continued their flight through the tournament defeating Krieger 13-8 in a real battle. Outstanding play by both teams, Guardian Angels prevailed. Tremendous individual efforts throughout the night and particularly the last innings. 10-4 in the regular season and 3-0 for the tournament. Congratulations to all the Masters players for another fine season.
