AUTUMN HUNTERS and Fall Ballers split a double-header to tie for the 2021 Fall League Championship with an 8-2 record. Joe Beham's squad won the first game 15-2 and dropped the second game 11-4. Back row, L-R: Dave Obert, Ed Herman, Terry Thomas, Jay Schramm, Jeff Batanian, Mike Spain and Scott Dheel. Autumn Hunters win one - lose one to tie!

In the opening game of the battle for the Fall Softball title with both teams at 7-1, the Autumn Hunters played arguably their best game of the season winning 14-2. Mike Hamann pitched a terrific game and the defense was outstanding with both the outfield all making nice catches and the infield playing spectacular, including a DP (Rick Beham to Jay Schramm to Jeff Batanian and Ed Herman to Terry Thomas to Jay Schramm). The Autumn Hunters were led in hitting by Jay Schramm 3-4 with an OTFHR (who was a warrior playing one day after having his defib/pacemaker replaced) ; Dave Sanecki 2-3 with an inside the park HR; Scott Dheel 3-3; Joe Beham 2-4 with a 3b; Terry Thomas 2-3 with a 3b; Dave Obert 2-3 with a 2B; Mike Hamann 2-3; Ed Herman 2-3.

The second game of the nightcap was almost an exact opposite of game #1. Rick Schmidt's Fall Ballers made all of the plays, snagging several line drives and played well to earn a split and share of the Fall Ball Title. Congratulations to both the Fall Ballers and Autumn Hunters who both finished 8-2 for a share of the Fall title. The Autumn Hunters were led in hitting by Joe Beham 2-3; Dave Obert 2-3; also Dave Sanecki, Jeff Spotts ; Jeff Batanian Mike Betley and Terry Thomas all added one hit each. I would like to thank all my Autumn Hunters teammates for a great and very fun Fall season. We finished 8-2 and outscored our opponents 166-110 (nearly 6 runs per game). Great season!
